New policies can’t be purchased for this storm, however, policies can always be purchased to protect future travel plans.
What Is Covered?
Flight Cancellations and Delays: Travelers can cancel their trip and be reimbursed 100% of their trip costs if their flight is delayed, canceled, or if their airport is closed.
Meals and Hotels: Travelers who are significantly delayed can be reimbursed for meals, a hotel stay and local transportation to and from the hotel and airport during their delay.
What Isn’t Covered?
Poor Driving Conditions: Travelers who are worried to drive in bad weather conditions are not covered to cancel their trip, however, some policies may have coverage if a road closure or accident prevents travelers from reaching the airport.
Long Lines at the Airport: Extended weather delays can often cause ticketing counter delays; long lines are never a covered reason to cancel a trip.
