Vaping has definitely taken this country by storm and that includes celebrities. With the vaping industry pushing into the billions in revenue, celebrities are doing their part to extend the proliferation of the devices and juices through their endorsement of the practice. Katherine Heigl

Eight years ago, Katherine Heigl of Grey’s Anatomy fame went on Late Night with David Letterman and proceeded to have a discussion about the benefits of electronic cigarettes. She was probably one of the first actresses to publicly endorse vaping and even pulled out her vape pen and took a few puffs. In the appearance, she spoke about vaping as a way to help her quit the habit of smoking. She even got David Letterman to take a puff and has been preaching the benefits of vaping ever since. She is also documented to use other devices since as a mod and tank when vaping in public. Ever since she had a child, Heigl has turned to electronic cigarettes for her fix. In fact, she said, “I know it sounds ridiculous, but its helping me not to actually smoke real cigarettes. You feel like you are smoking, and you get to exhale, but its just water vapor.”

Leonardo Di Caprio

Leonardo Di Caprio vape habit has been well documented as the paparazzi have snapped quite a few pictures of The Revenant actor taking a vape puff. He even took pulled out his vape pen during the Screen Actor’s Guild awards fresh after fighting off a bear in that movie.   Leonardo was first spotted at the 2014 Golden Globes. He lit up an electronic cigarette that looked curiously like a regular cigarette at the table with the rest of his The Wolf of Wall Street cast. At the Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary bash, Di Caprio was caught smoking a vape pen. Miley Cyrus, who was close by was perturbed because he didn’t share. He just vaped and didn’t let anyone else have any.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton is an American TV personality, model, singer and business woman. Her first claim to fame is being the great granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of the Hilton Hotel chain. Known mainly for her modeling, Paris has been seen out vaping and leaving her cigs at home. As a fashionista who is always in with the latest fashion trends, moving to a healthier way of smoking is also a trendy thing to do. If you need that fix, you may as well get it in a more health conscious manner. While you see guy’s taking puffs out of a larger electronic vape device with a juice chamber, Paris is seen with a vape pen which is much easier to conceal and looks more feminine.

Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp is an actor who needs no introduction. He originally got his stardom as Tommy Hanson on the hit cops and robbers show 21 Jump Street. Currently, he shows up as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Carribean movies. As a big Hollywood star, the paparazzi are always following and there is quite a bit of photo evidence of his propensity to vape. He has not come out to say that he likes vaping over smoking, but from the photo evidence, you can see that he does like to vape. He has also been documented vaping in movies as he has shown in his movie The Tourist. We see him sitting on the train in this movie with a vape style pen reading a book while the miles pass him by.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry was born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Her discography is long and she has many hits including Roar, Teenage Dream, I Kissed a Girl, Last Friday Night, and E.T. Her vaping chronicles back to 2011 when a photo was caught of her enjoying a vape with her beer. Due to her music as well as being a Pop icon, it would not be too far of a reach to see Katy Perry taking puffs of a vape. Vaping sort of adds to her image. During the Golden Globes in 2016, there were reports that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom shared puffs from a vape pen. She is been spotted smoking her vape at various locations throughout Hollywood, so we know that she is a big proponent of the electronic cig.

Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen has starred in many TV Shows most recently as the main character in 2 and a Half Men where he has garnered plenty of riches before leaving the show in scandalous fashion. A resident bad boy who is known for his partying, drug use, and smoking, Charlie would be hard pressed not to try vape. In fact, not only is he a proponent of vaping, he has a line of e cigarettes that have his image on them called Nicosheen. With the tagline “Sheen Safe Smoke,” the e-cigarette endorsed by Sheen launched in 2011, but has not been too popular lately. Being a well-documented chain-smoker, Sheen needed a way to get his nicotine fix while also getting around the ban on smoking indoors. He found the outlet in e cigarettes and is now going full bore into endorsing them as well.

Britney Spears

Britney Spears first came onto the scene as part of the Mickey Mouse Club which was an American Variety TV show that aired from 1955 to 1996 before coming back in the form of social media in 2017. Since then, she has had mega success as a singer songwriter with hits like Baby One More Time, Crazy, and Toxic. And since had two kids, both to back up dancer and ex-husband Kevin Federline. She is also well documented as a smoker.   With the paparazzi following her every move, she has often been criticized for smoking in front of her children. As a rebuttal to this, Britney had to change her unhealthy smoking habits and has moved to vaping as a compromise. She feels that it is better for her children as there are lower ill effects of the vape smoke. In fact, ex-husband Kevin Federline has also switched to vaping.

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars, born Peter Gene Hernandez is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and dancer. He was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii before moving to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue a musical career. Mars rose to fame in 2010 with the “Nothing on You” and “Billionaire” in collaboration B.o.B and Travie Mccoy in that order. His vocals were featured on the hooks of both songs. Bruno was big into smoking, but has converted to vaping. In 2013, Mars posted a picture on Twitter holding an E Cigarette in his hand. The caption read “Day 1 E-Cig, Gotta Do it!!!! This is for you mom.” The vaping community received this news very positively as expected when a star with such power begins to take on the practice. Like Charlie Sheen, Mars also invested in a E-Cigarette company. NJoy Electronic Cigarette Company received an undisclosed investment into the business.

Based on photographic evidence, celebrities are embracing the vape movement and are doing so with a lot of different vape paraphernalia and vape flavors. Some are just casual vapers, while others have endorsed or even invested in vape related companies.
