In a data loss prevention (DLP) application embedding the dtSearch Engine, typically dtSearch will filter outbound emails plus attachments to make sure the emails don’t contain keywords that the company has flagged as “top secret.” For example, for a law firm, it might be keywords that relate to a multibillion dollar litigation matter. Or for ship builders, it might be keywords that relate to a new submarine design. Whatever the company designates as secret, they can use dtSearch to flag that data.
